Versatile actor of Hollywood Tom Cruise has confirmed the reports that Brad Bird is all set to direct the next installment of ‘Mission: Impossible’.
Cruise, 47 revealed that Brad Bird will direct the ‘Mission: Impossible IV’ while Edgar Wright will be the scriptwriter.
Tom Cruise quoted, "I dig Edgar. Very nice guy, very smart, very talented. I'd really like to do something with him.”
"I met Edgar on the set of 'Mission: Impossible III'- Simon Pegg and those guys are hilarious. I love 'Shaun of the Dead'. It's amazing. But we're working on Brad right now. I don't know if I'm allowed to talk about it but everything's signed. Brad is doing it," he added.
The ‘Top Gun’ actor claimed that he is looking forward to start work on the project which is scheduled to release in May 2011.
The actor also added that ‘Star Trek’ director J.J. Abrams is also working on the film as a writer but no storyline details have yet been confirmed.
