The Bench of Justices comprising of U D Salvi and S J Kathawalla approved telecasting the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 4 on its usual timing of 9pm. However, Colors channel need to self-censor the show.

 

The Bench said that the channel has to abide by some of the undertakings which include self censoring the obscene language and scenes from the show, not allowing news channels to get the programme’s clippings and not infringing any rules.

 

After the I&B Ministry’s direction to change the time slot of the show from 9 pm to 11 pm, the channel owner, Viacom18 Media Private Limited appealed in the High Court on Saturday. The I&B Ministry said that the show has offensive content which is not good for children.

 

The counsels for Viacom18 said that after October 4, no contents have been telecasted on the show which might be objectionable as per I&B Ministry. The show will get over in another couple of week’s time.
