Barbra Streisand has stunned music experts in America by storming to the top of the album charts with her 63rd release.
The diva beat Paramore and Mariah Carey to the top of the Billboard 200 to extend her lead as the female act with the most number ones in the history of the chart. Her Love Is the Answer opened with 180,000 copies, giving her her best sales week on the countdown since 1997.
Paramore's Brand New Eyes was 5,000 sales behind Streisand and Mariah Carey's Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel debuts at three with 168,000 sales.
Initial chart projections suggested Paramore would easily finish ahead of the two divas.
It's a record-breaking week for the U.S. album chart - eight releases debut in the top 10.
Rockers Breaking Benjamin's Dear Agony enters the chart at four, Alice in Chains revisit the top 10 with Black Gives Way to Blue at five and Madonna's greatest hits album Celebration, Miranda Lambert's Revolution and Selena Gomez's Kiss and Tell also make the top 10.
Last week's chart-topper, Pearl Jam's Backspacer, falls from one to 10.
