It’s been more than two years since Avika Gor has been the famous face of Anandi in the very popular soap Balika Vadhu. Now, a new face is soon going to come as the grown-up ‘Anandi’.

 

 

The prime time soap, Balika Vadhu will take a five year leap and for that they need a grown up ‘Anandi’. Colors channel is short listing candidates throughout India through a series of auditions.

 

The channel has not yet finalized the new face for the character, but they have got a potential list of the fit faces. One of them is debutant Pratyusha Bannerjee from Jamshedpur. Most probably, she is going to take over the lovely and chirpy Avika.

 

Avika is currently completing the last episodes for Balika Vadhu. Two more faces, who have topped the list are are Nivedita Tiwari from Lucknow and Ketaki Chitale from Mumbai.

 

The Colors channel spokesperson confirms, “The reason we have chosen three girls instead of one is that we want the audience to choose their Anandi through SMS voting that starts next week. The girl who gets maximum votes will be cast as the new Anandi.”

Even Anandi’s husband, Jagya (Avinash Mukherjee) will get replaced as the grown up Jagya.

The spokesperson adds, “We will soon launch another nationwide search for the new Jagya.”
