German luxury auto major, Audi AG, has launched its A8 L luxury model.
The model sets standards for luxury, dynamics and efficiency. It will come with five engines in fall 2010 along with the powerful twelve-cylinder with 368 kW.
In India, the Audi A8 L car may be imported as a CBU by year-end. And the base prices are €79,900 for the 3.0 TDI; €80,400 for the 3.0 TFSI; €94,300 for the 4.2 FSI; €95,800 for the 4.2 TDI; and €137,000 for the W12.
There have been a wide range of engines such as two three-liter V6 units, a TDI with 184 kW (250 hp) and a TFSI producing 213 kW (290 hp). The two V8 engines both have a displacement of 4.2 liters, with the TDI producing 258 kW (350 hp) and the FSI 273 kW (372 hp).
The company has also the lineup of the gasoline engine, the W12 that speaks of more power.
The A8 L proves to be a superior model due to its better transmission which is facilitated by the high overall gear ratio of the engine.
The Audi A8 L is powerful and impressive as its length and wheelbase have both been stretched by 13 centimeters as compared to the standard version. There is more advancement to the interior side where you can see two power-adjustable and heated individual seats for the rear side along with elegantly-styled center console with large storage compartments.
Audi brings a high-end sound system from Bang & Olufsen as well as advanced online services. The Audi A8 L is the first automobile in the world to be available with an integrated WLAN support. Intelligent design and comfortableness are the highlights of this flagship model.
Apart from the mentioned features, Audi A8 L will pack optional MMI navigation plus with touchpad option that is meant to provide assistance to the driver. The new technology is integrated with automatic transmission system. New Audi pre sense safety system and night vision assistance are also key things to notice here.
