Arbaaz Reveals The Inside Story Of ‘Dabangg’ Arbaaz Khan

Arbaaz the producer of the movie ‘Dabangg’ throws light on it and tells everything related to the movie from the very beginning. He also says that the movie made him realize that he can be a producer too!

The script of ‘Dabangg’ came to him by the movie’s director Abhinav and it was the time when he was dilly-dallying with his next choice in career. He then felt that the movie can be a right opportunity to become a producer.

He adds, “Honestly, before I turned producer, I had no inkling. I was thinking of getting into production when I met Abhinav, the director of the film. He narrated the basic idea to me; I kind of got excited and my idea of turning into a producer re-emerged in my mind."

Arbaaz also reveals that he badly wanted Salman Khan to enact in ‘Dabangg’, but since he is very particular about his choice in films, he was not sure of his approval.

He adds, “I was quite sure Salman would be the protagonist. I obviously had to pitch it to him and get his reaction. May be if he, for some reason, had not liked the proposal I would have to do another film with him. Fortunately he readily agreed to do the film as soon as the script was narrated to him.”

He also talks about introducing Sonakshi Sinha, daughter of veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha and adds, “We are introducing Shatrughan Sinha's daughter Sonakshi. It's a very meaty and strong role. We had to go either with a star or a very, very good new girl who brings in freshness. "

"We decided to go with the latter and we are extremely happy and confident that we have finalized Sonakshi who really fits the role and is a future star.”

Talking more about the movie he says that it’s a pure fiction work, but believable in nature and it is a story of a corrupt Bihari cop played by Salman Khan.

The movie is already done with the shooting and its release date will soon be announced.
