Today is the 44th birthday of famous Music Director AR Rahman. He first earned name and recognition in B-Town with the 1992 flick Roja and after that there was no looking back for him.

 

This talented Music Director has received fourteen Filmfare Awards, four National Film Awards, eleven Filmfare Awards South, Academy Awards, a BAFTA Award, two Grammy Awards and a Golden Globe award.

 

He has also been named by Time magazine in its World's Most Influential People list in 2009. It is reported that he also takes part in social welfare activities also. He imparts education on music to kids by adopting them from schools and offering free music education though KM Music Conservatory.
