Hollywood siren Angelina Jolie who is already the queen of many hearts may now be Queen in reel life too. It has been reported that Jolie may portray the role of legendary Egyptian ruler Cleopatra in an upcoming biopic movie.
Producer Scott Rudin is excited about the project and has bought the rights of the upcoming biography ‘Queen of the Nile, Cleopatra: A Life’ keeping Jolie in mind. Meanwhile, it has been confirmed by the Rudin's office that the movie ‘is being developed for and with Jolie’.
The new biography which is written by Stacy Schiff is scheduled to hit the book shelves by November this year.
Stacy Schiff also believes that Jolie would be ideal in the role. "Physically, she's the perfect look,” Schiff said.
Earlier, the role Cleopatra was famously portrayed by Elizabeth Taylor in the 1963 lavish movie of the same name while Richard Burton played Cleopatra's Roman lover Marc Anthony.
