‘Allah Ke Bandey’ Can’t Release With ‘Guzaarish’ Faruk Kabir |
‘Allah Ke Bandey’ was supposed to release on November 19 with ‘Guzaarish’, but due to objections by Censor Board, the movie is postponed by one more week.
Well, ‘Guzaarish’ is not any movie, it has a solid star cast, Hrithik and Ash and a powerful director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, so it would have been quite difficult for Faruk to make stand ‘Allah Ke Bandey’. Since, now the movie is co-incidentally releasing later, so there are no issues.
The Censor Board has objected over certain things like sequences of violence, drinking and cocaine-sniffing in the movie and it will now release on November 26.
A hurried and curious Faruk says, “We thought we'd incorporate the changes in a few days and send our overseas prints in time for Bakri Eid release on November 18, Thursday. But now, it seems we won't be able to release before November 26. Fortunately, I've a very supporting producer and Naseer saab is also with me."
But Faruk gives a surprise by telling the reason for his desperation of releasing his movie with Sanjay’s ‘Guzaarish’.
He reveals, “I am too much in awe of Mr. Bhansali to release with him. I remember when I had just returned from film school in New York, I had approached Mr. Bhansali for a job as an assistant. He didn't entertain my request. Destiny, I guess."
Well, quite a polite way of putting forward one’s grudge against the other, indirectly the naive director is informing him that he has stood now all by himself without the help of any big name.
