Akshay Kumar will be the lead actor in the sequel of Ekta Kapoor's Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai which will be directed by Milan Luthria. The story will be based on gangster Dawood Ibrahim.

 

The prequel which had Ajay Devgn on the lead was about don Haji Mastan. The sequel will be filled with action as the Khiladi is on the lead.

 

According to a source, Emraan Hashmi’s role in the movie was that of Dawood and the plot ended with the death of Ajay Devgn and the enmity between the two. The next part will tell the tale of the rise of Dawood whose name was Shoaib in the flick.

 

There is also a buzz that a new plot is being discussed and sources said, "Ekta is considering the option of having a completely new script, with no relation to the first film. Since both Ajay and Emraan won't make it to the sequel, it gives the director scope to tell a new story."
