Action hero Akshay kumar soaring high in Bollywood has reportedly quoted a whopping 27 crore for portraying the role of crime boss Dawood Ibrahim in Ekta Kapoor’s Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’ sequel.
Buzz is that Balaji head Ekta approached Akki for the spin off to play Emraan Hashmi’s character.An industry insider affirming the news said, “Ekta wants to take the sequel of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai to the next level. She felt that Akshay would be ideal for playing Dawood Ibrahim’s role. She likes the way Akshay acts and feels that he has a lot of potential for playing challenging roles.”
But the Balaji team got a shock as Akshay demanded a stupendous Rs 27 crores for the role. According to reports Akki has been requested to cut down the amount as the huge remuneration would affect the profits speculated. But as of the current scenario, with huge demand for the actor in B-town, it is unlikely that the actor would consider a reduction in fees. Well the Ekta band is still keen in roping the Mr. Khiladi.
