The macho man of Bollywood Ajay Devgan will now soon be seen seizing jewels of worth millions in Neeraj Pandey’s Special Chabbis. The director of commercially acclaimed film A Wednesday has roped in Devgn to play the role of an IT official in his next project.
Special Chabbis is based on a real life story of twenty six year old men who mock raid a jewellery store in Mumbai.
Talking about the movie, a source said, “Ajay Devgan will play the main protagonist in the film. There are several other actors to be taken onboard. Ajay heard the script and at once gave it a green signal. Currently, they are just working out the dates and the film will go on floors early next year.”
However, it is believed that Devgn was not the first choice of the filmmaker as before the role was offered to Abhishek Bachchan.
“Apart from Ajay there will be an ensemble cast, which is still being worked upon. Initially, Ajay’s role was offered to Abhishek Bachchan but things did not work out between Neeraj and him. Neeraj has always admired Ajay as an actor and he was certainly his next option.”
