Most actors are seen doing a lot of good stuff in reel life, but Ajay Devgan likes doing them in real life too. The Bollywood actor has joined hands with the fellow residents of Juhu area in Mumbai where he resides, in the protest against political interference which has halted the development work being carried there. It is feared that if the development work is not resumed, it would cause a big water logging problem in Juhu once the monsoon hits the city.
The Juhu area was among the most badly affected ones in Mumbai during the cascade the city witnessed on 26 July 2005. Ajay Devgan is well aware that his glamour quotient and star power can provide the much needed attention to this issue. ‘I think that even an animal makes a noise when it is troubled, and we are human. And I am a part of this area. If anyone has a problem, they should raise their voice,’ said Devgan recently.
Even superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who lives in same area, has underscored this issue over his Internet blog. Actor Ajay Devgan stated that he is positive that even Big B would provide support for this cause if asked, as he himself also had to suffer much property damage due to the heavy deluge the previous year. ‘Even he had to encounter a lot of problems during the deluge. I’m sure if someone approaches him he will stand for the cause, underscored Devgan.
