Ritesh Sidhwani’s ‘Crooked’ took on to a bitter note when Sonya Jehan replaced Aishwarya Rai due to formers date conflict, while Abhishek Bachchan started shooting for film on January 14.

 

 

It is confirmed that Sonya is the new launch for the lead role, Ritesh stated “But I can’t reveal what she’s playing. She’s tremendously beautiful and talented and suited the part she has been chosen for. We won’t call the film ‘Crooked’, though. That was the working title. And we’re looking for a new title urgently before the working title sticks.”

 

Reportedly,in this film Aishwarya and Abhishek’s are not playing in romantic interest but as adversary.

According to the source report, “For Abhishek and Ash, the whole charm of doing another film together was to not be together. ‘Crooked’ was supposed to cast them not as a pair, but in different segments.” May be that’s the reason why Ash is off the scene.

There are other major leading ladies in the film and they are Sarah, Shahana Goswami ( of Rock On!) and Gul Panag

Sonya has the reasons to clean off Ash as she acted as Mumtaj Mehal in Akbar Khan’s ‘Taj Mahal’,Sudhir Mishra’s ‘Khoya Khoya Chand’ as1950s actress and a role in Karan Johar’s ‘My Name Is Khan.’ Additionally she has beautiful features with fair complexion, light eyes and a certain air of hateur’ to be capable of to clinch the role.
