Director Dibakar Banerjee is all set to work with actors Abhay Deol and Emraan Hashmi who will share the screen space for the first time in Shanghai.

 

Sanghai is a political thriller and Banerjee chose two very different actors for the movie who are just opposite in their acting skills. Both the actors always chose very different type of movies and this is the first time they will work together.

 

Dibakar said, "I'm looking forward to breaking some presumptions with this film. I love the way some people stereotype the dark, kissy, negative bond side of Emraan in his films."

 

It is reported that Shanghai is going to be the priciest flick ever made by Banerjee with an estimated budget of about Rs 10 crore.

 

The shooting of the movie will take place in an Indian village and it’s based on a political thriller by Vassilis Vassilikos who is a Greek novelist.
