Dhobhi Ghat’ is the directorial debut movie of Aamir’s wife, Kiran and to give a distinction in the movie, he thought of something out of the box. Aamir is planning to include a golden song from the classic film, ‘Madhumita’.
Madhumita is an old classic creation of the year 1958 which starred Dilip Kumar and Vyjantimala. Aamir is planning to include a song from the film in one his hit duets. ‘Dhobi Ghat’ star casts Prateik Babbar and Monica Dogra and Aamir Khan himself.
The music of the movie is composed by Argentina based musician Gustavo Santaolalla, who was one of the nominees for the Oscar awards. Presently, Aamir and Kiran are both in great touch with the singer-musician. Weeks back they had also organized a grand party in honor of Gustavo at their Pali Hill residence in Mumbai.
Sources reveal, “Aamir Khan’s production house is in talks with Rinki Bhattacharya, Bimal Roy’s daughter to convince her to give away the rights to use the famous melody Dil tadap tadap ke keh raha aa bhi jaa... that immortalized the leading actors, Dilip Kumar and Vyjayantimala.”
Aamir feels that the song will enhance the scene in Dhobi Ghat, he says, “When contacted an over enthusiastic Rinki Bhattacharya confirmed the news, “Yes, we are in talks. Aamir is very keen to include this song in Dhobi Ghat and we have no issues as such to give the rights for a one-time use.”
Everyone is hoping for a great concept and an amazing story lineup from the movie, ‘Dhobi Ghat’. Presently, Aamir is busy promoting his upcoming movie, ‘Peepli Live’, he is the producer of the movie and a group of theatre artists are in the lead role.
