Most of us fall prey to the megapixel myth – more the resolution in megapixels, better the picture. However, the pictures speak a completely different story, which is why most good camera manufacturers come up with sensors not bigger than 10mp. Yashica, which has been around for more than just a few decades, would know better than just come up with higher megapixel values. This fact is evident in their simple point and shoot cameras, one of which is the Yashica EZ7030, which is a 7.2 mp camera with a zoom capacity of 3x.
Design and FunctioningThe Yashica EZ7030 comes across as a camera that, notwithstanding the fact that it is point and shoot, is for the serious enthusiast who would rather appreciate the finer qualities of photography rather than become prey to the megapixel myth. Its design too is simple, with fluid ergonomics and a conservative metallic silver colour, which is the most preferred colour, never mind the vibgyor coloured version that other point and shoot cameras are available in. It is lightweight too, at a mere 135gs, but is not short on features at all. It allows the user to record the sound too, while recording video and comes with the macro mode for taking extreme close up pictures of tiny objects. It is also capable of in camera editing with the red eye reduction tool. It comes with internal memory of 32MB and is compatible with SD and MMC cards.
