Zoom is the first feature that the average user looks out for – the larger the zoom range, the better for them. They love the feeling of being able to get so close to something that all its little details become visible. This is the reason why camera manufacturers have begun to invest in the production of super zoom cameras, of which the Sony Cybershot DSC-H20 is an excellent example. This camera comes with a resolution of 10mp and a zoom range of 10x, which offers a 35mm equivalent of 38mm to 380mm.
Design and FunctioningIt was very thoughtful of camera manufacturers to have made super zoom cameras to look like miniature versions of SLR cameras, which proves that though they may not be as versatile and powerful as professional camera, they are definitely better compared to the normal point and shoot ones. The Sony Cybershot DSC-H20 comes with the same design that most good super zoom cameras come with. It comes with the Intelligent Scene Recognition (iSCN) which recognizes up to 8 scenes, or manually select from among 11 different scene conditions using Scene mode. The Anti-blink function works to help counter blinking and squinting. When the camera is set to Soft Snap, the Anti-blink function captures two images, recording only the photo with less squinting. Also, the popular Smile Shutter technology automatically detects and captures a smiling face. It comes with internal memory of 11MB and is compatible with Memory Stick Duo, Pro Duo, Pro HG Duo for storage.
