Panasonic, though often thought of as a company that doesn’t feel the need to advertise much, is still known for coming up with excellent and feature loaded cameras that takes a discerning eye to appreciate. Its cameras are always equipped with LEICA DC Vario Lens, every camera is capable of optically stabilizing images and some are even equipped with Mega OIS, which is capable of making images, much before they are clicked, totally immune to shake, blur or any other disturbance. One such compact camera is the Lumix DMC-FX48. This ultra compact camera comes with resolution of 12.1 mp and a zoom capacity of 5x.
Design and FunctioningPacked in a slim metal body with easy ergonomics, fluid design and weighing a mere 127gs, the Lumix DMC-FX48 is available in colours as elegant and sophisticated as Plum Red, Baby Pink, Midnight black and Metallic Silver. It comes with an ultra wide angle LEICA DC Vario Lens, capable of giving a focal length range from 25mm to 125mm. Its New Panorama Assist scene mode allows users to shoot a number of consistent photos, either vertically or horizontally, by aligning them according to a guide that overlaps the screen. Its new face Recognition doesn’t just click when it sees a face, but also remembers faces. When a familiar face is recorded several times, the camera will prompt the user to register the face. Once complete, if the familiar face appears into the frame again, the camera will display the name specified by the user for that person and prioritize focus and exposure so that the registered face is bright and in sharp focus. It contains 40MB of internal memory space and is compatible with SD/SDHC and even MMC cards for storage.
