Most compact point and shoot cameras are considered versatile and user friendly. People who own some really good ones swear by them and don’t like to part with them. The only problem is that none of the most compact cameras come with zoom ranges powerful enough to offer a wide focal range. Many of them are not equipped with a wide angle range as versatile as sometimes needed. Thankfully, Olympus comes with the Stylus range of which the Olympus Stylus 7040 is a member and it comes with a resolution of 14mp and a zoom range of 7x with a 28mm wide angle.
Design and FunctioningLike most good compact cameras, the Olympus Stylus 7040 doesn’t let down its consumers and gives them features that one hankers after in compact cameras, complete with a weight of only 144gs and is available in colours as vivid as Copper Blue, Baby Pink and Metallic Silver. Its Advanced Face Detection tracks up to 16 faces and automatically focuses and optimizes exposures for sharp, brilliant portrait pictures. It is equipped with the Dual Image Stabilization, which combines Sensor-Shift Image Stabilization with high ISO sensitivity and fast shutter speeds to give shake-free pictures. Its AF Tracking automatically tracks unpredictable, fast-moving subjects such as kids and pets, and continuously adjusts the focus and brightness for the best picture. This camera contains internal memory of a whopping 2GB and is compatible with xD and microSD picture cards.
