Those who are starting to get to know the variously-hued world of photography are very likely to mistake telephoto pictures to be great. They would have obviously been exposed to a lot of pictures taken by experienced photographers, which are devoid of any blur. But the fact remains that pictures that have been taken in full telephoto would always be blurred if taken by someone less experienced. This is the reason why companies always come out with DSLRs, where the first kit bears a wide angle lens. The Canon, for instance, comes out with the Canon EOS 50D with the EF-S18-55 lens; the camera has a resolution of 15.1mpand the lens has a focal range of 29mm to 88mm.
Design and FunctioningMuch has already been said about the absolutely professional and we-mean-business look and feel that the Canon EOS 50D gives out, what with the Magnesium alloy body and a firm grip. Canon’s new DIGIC 4 processor is fast enough to allow up to 6.3fps continuous shooting, in bursts of up to 90 JPEGs with a UDMA card. The Kit lens that it comes with is slightly longer than its predecessor (70mm from the previous 66mm), and the front element is substantially larger in diameter. Canon also added an image stabilizer, changed the finish and introduced circular aperture blades for a better bokeh (shift in focus, to create a blur on something while the focus is on something else close by). The EOS Integrated Cleaning System – including the improved Self Cleaning Sensor Unit with a new fluorine coating – increases protection of image quality by helping to reduce, repel and remove unwanted dust from the sensor. This camera is compatible with CF cards of Type I and II.
