Fans of late Pop star Michael Jackson have defaced his tomb in California with tributes in permanent ink.

Jackson was buried at the Forest Lawn Cemetery memorial in Glendale, California following his death last year. Ever since, fans have flocked to pay their respects.

Some mourners started writing tributes such as ‘Miss you sweet angel’ and ‘Keep the dream alive’. Many of these were made using permanent ink.

"Activity such as this is a prime example why we are evaluating the level of access to the various entrances of the Great Mausoleum," said a source.

Security at the cemetery was increased earlier when the tomb of late Hollywood legend Clark Gable was found covered in lipstick marks.
