Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif had a colourful sequence for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara in the Tomatina festival sequence which resembles that of Holi with the only difference that it is played with tomatoes.

The sequence was shot for a song Ek Junoon from the movie and it is said that it was an expensive sequence as the festival is celebrated using tomatos and water. In the country, the annual festival usually takes place in August but, for the sequence the festival was shot in July.

Ritesh Sidhwani, producer said, “Tomatina is important to our movie, which is about a group of friends who are on a road trip around Spain. I thought the Indian audience would relate to tomatoes because in India, people also use eggs and mud to play Holi.”

Zoya Akhtar, Director said, “It was extremely sweet of the people of Buñol to cooperate with us during the shoot. It was great fun as they celebrated twice, once as they always do, and again for India.”
