According to reports, Google Nexus One smartphone that is supposed to be launched in India may not be the power packed one but a slimmed down version only.
It is reported that, Google is working on an edition of Google Nexus One for the developing markets like India and Russia that is likely to be short of some of the features of the version being sold in other international markets. There will be also a price consideration for the Indian market.
Google had launched its new smartphone Nexus One in January that it sells directly to consumers. The company aims to challenge the other leaders like Apple, Blackberry and Nokia through its Nexus One superphone.
The Nexus One is a 119mm (H) X 59.8mm (W) X 11.5mm (D) smartphone weighing 130 grams. It sports a 3.7-inch (9.4 cm) AMOLED touchscreen display and has been designed in partnership with Taiwan's HTC Corp.
The Google Android phone also boasts of a 5MP camera with auto focus, a 2x digital zoom and LED flash. Video recording at 20fps (720 x 480), 512MB Flash and 4GB Micro SD Card slot are there too with the set.
